Windsurf is an AI coding editor. Its model and custom endpoint support can vary by version and plan. If your version provides OpenAI API Key, Base URL, or custom model settings, configure Moxus AI with the values below.

Setup

  1. Open Windsurf settings.
  2. Find Models, AI Provider, or BYOK settings.
  3. If OpenAI Compatible is available, choose it.
  4. Set API Key to your Moxus AI sk- key.
  5. Set Base URL to https://moxus.ai/v1.
  6. Add or choose the model name.
  7. Test in Cascade or the chat panel.
If your Windsurf version has no custom Base URL or OpenAI Compatible setting, it cannot connect directly to Moxus AI. Use Cursor, Continue, Cline, or another tool with custom endpoint support.

Recommendations

  • Cascade is useful for multi-file edits and usually consumes more tokens than simple chat.
  • Choose a coding-capable chat model, not an embedding or image generation model.
  • Create a separate API key for Windsurf so usage and quota are easy to manage.

Troubleshooting

Your version may only support built-in providers or official BYOK. Check for OpenAI Compatible, custom provider, or advanced model settings.
That usually means the client only connects to the official OpenAI endpoint. Use a tool that supports custom Base URL instead.
This is a client-side product limitation. A Moxus AI API key cannot unlock Windsurf plan restrictions.
